Seasonal allergies are the most commonly found in people which are basically immune reaction to olds, pollens or triggers that are present only in a single season. The main triggers of seasonal allergies are usually pollen from trees, weeds, grasses or molds, which can cause a variety of symptoms such as itchy eyes and nose, sore throats, headaches and sneezing. These symptoms can cause considerable discomfort and can sometimes be life-threatening. Although, prevention is the key to such reactions, but treatments are also available such as immunotherapy, orticosteroids and antihistamines for severe cases. Many a times allergy testing is usually done to determine the specific pollen that is responsible for such symptoms.

Once symptoms of seasonal allergies are determined, the first line of treatment would typically involve over-the-counter antihistamines.
